Hi to all the Electric Circus team, just wanted to pass on my thanks and gratitude for such a fun night on Saturday. The team were very well organised and it was refreshing to see that your venue can pull out all the stops. I’m sure I’ll be back for further bookings but just wanted to pass on a personal thanks to you all on the night and also the personnel involved in re-booking my failed hen night. Hopefully it was worth the flying visit because it’s a racing certainty that Zoey Van Goey have never played a venue as plush as this before. Edinburgh’s recently refurbished Electric Circus is lined with blingin’ upholstered chairs, plush embossed wallpaper and neon-lit private karaoke booths.

Electric Circus is a state-of-the-art, new music venue in my hometown city of Edinburgh, catering for everything from bangin’ club culture to sweaty rock n’roll. It’s another great addition to the Capital’s growing live scene with touring bands and local acts rolling up on a nightly basis. The interior decor is a wild, technicoloured clash of tattoo style murals, new-wave neon and classy monochrome all fighting for your attention with the wall of TV screens and personal karaoke booths. I’ve seen many bands, DJ-ed loads and had the occasional beverage or 2 in Electric Circus, and always have a great time. The staff are friendly and doormen polite — what more could you want?

I likes me a nice indie rock concert but I also like me some karaoke and a bit of a dance. Thank the good Lord then for Electric Circus, where I can feasibly watch The Phantom Band and then sing ‘All Night Long’ by Lionel Richie immediately after. A splendid diverse wee club in the heart of the city.

Since its launch, Electric Circus has been a very welcome addition to our editorial coverage in the now small choice of independent, unique and vibrant venues in Edinburgh, and The Skinny’s enjoyed every moment of our events there too. Instantly a stand out in the city for using new independent artists for the design and interior of the venue, the atmosphere inside balances a hipster hideout vibe and late night luxury expected in a late night location, which is ideal for us.

In the short period of its existence Electric Circus has established a reputation for a beautifully eclectic live music booking policy and a fantastic grasp of what artists need.

With the Edinburgh music scene enjoying a particularly purple patch of late, things are about to get a whole lot better for the Capital’s music fans. Electric Circus — a new, live music premise perched slap bang in the heart of the city — is open for business.

Since its 2009 launch The Electric Circus has proven its mettle as a forward-thinking venue which is truly supportive of Scotland’s rich music, club and performance traditions. It is an exciting space and venue concept never before seen in Edinburgh, run by a management team with its finger right on the pulse of all that’s hot.
